Applicants for the both the Waterfowl Multi-Site and Youth Multi-Site Lottery Hunts also have the ability to opt-in for second chance opportunities.
There is no additional cost to the applicant and SCDNR preference points are not affected by any second chance draw hunt opportunity offered by the South Carolina Wildlife Partnership or the Pintail Partners (for youth hunters).
You must apply for the SCDNR waterfowl lottery hunt to participate in any second chance hunt opportunity and complete the opt-in form so that your information can be sent for the second chance drawing. Selecting to purchase a preference point only will not enter you into the second chance hunt.
Waterfowl Lottery Applicants
South Carolina Wildlife Partnership (SCWP) will provide additional lottery-based hunting opportunities to eligible individuals and/or parties that are not selected for this South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) lottery hunt. SCDNR will provide a list of non-selected individuals and parties to SCWP after the SCDNR lottery draw has occurred. Inclusion in or selection for SCWP hunts will not impact selection or preference points in any SCDNR lottery and operates independently of SCDNR. If you opt in, SCDNR will provide your name, phone number, and email to SCWP after the SCDNR lottery draw has occurred and a representative of SCWP will contact you directly to offer any available hunting opportunities.

Youth Lottery Hunt Applicants
South Carolina Pintail Partners will provide additional lottery-based, youth hunting opportunities to eligible individuals and/or parties that are not selected for this South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) youth waterfowl lottery hunt. SCDNR will provide a list of non-selected individuals and parties to Pintail Partners after the SCDNR lottery draw has occurred. Inclusion in or selection for Pintail Partners hunts will not impact selection or preference points in any SCDNR lottery and operates independently of SCDNR. If you opt in, SCDNR will provide your name, phone number, and email to Pintail Partners after the SCDNR lottery draw has occurred and a representative of Pintail Partners will contact you directly to offer any available hunting opportunities.
If selected, each youth will participate in guided waterfowl hunt to include:
- Afternoon youth duck hunt opportunity on Friday, February 5th, 2022
- Open to all youth not selected in the DNR youth draw hunt process
- Fully guided hunts conducted on private duck impoundments in the Rimini area
- Lunch, safety talk and waterfowl themed activities hosted by South Carolina Waterfowl Association prior to the hunt
