If you are looking for a soulful companion look no further! Bridget is the epitome of a soulful pup. She is very loyal and affectionate to the people that love her. She aims to please but also has a silly side. She loves her toys, soft blanket and cuddles and even chasing her own tail!
Hi! I'm Bridget, an almost three-year-old 50 pound beautiful pittie/boxer mix with a story sure to warm your heart. My past is a bit of a mystery, but my life changed the day I was rescued from the shelter by Three Little Pitties. Pregnant with 12 puppies, I needed an emergency c-section and gave birth to 9 beautiful pups. We were brought right from the hospital to a place where I finally understood what it means to be loved.
I currently reside in a cozy two-story house with a family of four and a fenced yard that I love to explore. I've gotten used to all the interesting sounds a home makes, from the quirky ice machine to the whir of the vacuum. I'm proud to say I am potty trained, crate trained (although I do sleep soundly with my foster through the night), know some basic commands, and am getting pretty good at leash walking. I will need a patient family to help me continue training and to continue exposing me to new things so I can be more confident. I am what they call a homebody. I prefer to stay home or in my backyard and cuddle on the couch. That crazy world out there can be scary! If you like to watch Hallmark movies and chill at home I will cuddle beside you with your fave cozy blanket.
My foster family includes a playful three-year-old dog named Zazzy, who I absolutely love. Two of my puppies are also still here waiting for their furever homes. I enjoy lazy afternoons sunbathing and watching for lizards and squirrels with Zazzy. Zazzy and I actually do everything together, things like playing chase or tug-o-war, watching the street through a window, and lying in the big bed watching TV. It will take a me a little bit to warm up with other dog friends but once I do I am the most loyal friend.
There are two teenagers in the house and I am so excited when they spend time with me. I was pretty scared of them at first, but now they are my favorite people. I am shy, so slow introductions are best and it takes me just a little bit of time to feel comfortable. I would feel comfortable win a home with older kids that can give me the time to warm up and a quieter home.
Even though I'm an adult, I still have puppy behaviors as I am so excited to have a family and nice things. I love squeaky toys, stuffed animals, and chew toys. I actually enjoy shredding stuffed animals and getting all the stuffing out, but don't worry, I am not destructive to my foster's home or any of their things. This place is also the best because they let me try all kinds of new foods. Greek yogurt, apples, chicken breast, and popcorn are some of my favorites. I have the cutest underbite and so my foster makes sure everything is the right size for me to eat. Baths are outside on the patio because the weather has been so nice, and I love the drying off and snuggles afterward. It feels so good when they rub my ears or my belly. My foster mom likes to hold my foot while snuggling. Im beyond ready to find my forever familyapply to adopt me today!
We are ready to answer any questions about Bridget you may have. Her foster mom is ready to facilitate at virtual meet and greet.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?
The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!
Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dogs needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:
A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
