How to get new Student Beans code? ›

If this does happen, give us an email over at help@studentbeans.com so that we can issue more codes for you to use as soon as we can.

Usually, you just need to show your student ID card in-store. For online buying, you may be required to sign up to a student discount service like Unidays or Student Beans. These sites verify your student status for the retailer. You should be given a unique discount code to enter at the checkout.

As annoying as this can be, in most cases, you will be able to generate a new code within an hour which gives you more time to spend browsing online. However, if you do find this is happening more than once, give us an email at help@studentbeans.com and we'll have a look into it.

Once you sign up to Student Beans, if your email domain is recognised you will be verified straight away. If you have added a new place of study, our support team will review your application and get back to you within 3 days with confirmation of your account being verified or rejected.

If your student discount code isn't working please double check if the item/s you have in your bag qualify for this discount. Student discount cannot be used on sale, discounted or branded items (find out more about branded items here).

If you're using an in-store discount simply show your Student Beans iD to the member of staff at the checkout or serving you in a restaurant. Your Student Beans iD is located in the bottom right-hand corner of our app. Make sure you have uploaded a photo of yourself so that the member of staff can tell that it's you!

Unidays is very similar to Student Beans but I find it is often promoted more (e.g JD uses Unidays to verify their offers and is promoted on their website).

How long does a Student Beans discount last? ›

Once you've created an account with us your student status will automatically last for one year.

Anyone over the age of 16 and in full-time education including university, college, sixth form, and high school can use Student Beans.

When ready to pay customers simply show their Student Beans iD at checkout to complete their purchase. SBiD is 100% secure and cannot be faked like plastic student cards, free for all students & officially verified by schools, colleges and universities.

When you verify your status, you'll be issued a unique promo code that can be used only once. When you're ready to shop again, you can re-verify your status and receive a new promo code. I'm studying abroad—can I still get the discount?
