Standard Childcare First Aid Course Length:
Standard childcare first aid, CPR and AED is a 14 to 16 hour course that is typically completed within two days.
Course Cost:
The cost of the course is 134.99. Course fee includes childcare training manual, certification fee and take-home St Mark James Training manual.
Childcare First Aid and CPR Course content in Edmonton:
Candidates enrolled in standard childcare first aid and CPR courses will learn to recognize and manage the following emergencies:
- Conscious and unconscious obstructed airway victims (choking).
- Unconscious non-breathing victims.
- Diabetic Emergencies.
- Shaking baby syndrome.
- Sudden medical emergencies.
- Environmental emergencies.
- Poisons.
- Fractures and broken bones.
- Sprains and strains.
- Internal bleeding.
- Deadly bleeding.
- Spinal injuries.
- Circulatory emergencies.
- Respiratory emergencies.
Certification:
Upon completion of the course and successful completion of the multiple choice examination (75% minimum to pass) candidates will receive astandard childcare first aid, CPR and AED certification that is valid for 3 years. Recertification courses in Edmonton are available for standard childcare first aid courses.
No Pressure Policy:
Candidates that do not complete the course the first time may retake the course at no extra cost. We understand that people learn in different ways and through different methods which may require more time. We have a no pressure policy that helps candidates that need extra time to complete the course.
Refunds or transfers:
Edmonton first aid allows for refunds or transfer for any course as long as they are requested more than 72 hours prior to the start of the course.

Refunds or Transfers:
Refunds of standard childcare first aid courses are only available 72 hours prior to the start of the course. Courses are not refundable within 72 hours of the class. Transfers within 72 hours of the course are charged 25 dollars.
